
Andrew DeCarlo Biography
Andrew DeCarlo is a local Indiana Americana, folk, bluegrass and beyond guitarist, flatpicker, fingerpicker and singer-songwriter that is currently based in Indianapolis, IN. He has been writing songs and performing for over 25 years. In that time Andrew has performed as a solo artist, in various bluegrass bands as well as several progressive groups of different Americana related genres. Additionally, for seven years from 2013 to 2019 Andrew was based in Colorado where he also performed as a solo artist and played in various bands including his progressive cosmic jamgrass band “Cosmic Mesa” and a collaborative Doc and Merle Watson Tribute Band known as “Streamline Cannonball”. Andrew DeCarlo's music has roots in Americana, folk and bluegrass, however, he also possesses a unique and progressive song-writing style of his own. In 2013, Andrew self-produced and released his first solo album of 17 original songs, "Silver For Gold", which can be found on CDbaby and iTunes. Some of his greatest influences come from artists such as Doc Watson, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, Willie Nelson, Gram Parsons, and Paul Simon just to name a few. Andrew currently performs as a solo artist all over Indiana and is known to play and sit in with various local Americana, folk and bluegrass groups. Andrew DeCarlo is currently a rising musician, performer, songwriter, and flatpicker and is bringing new songs and sounds to the scene!
